Az utolsó napon hazafelé Oriliától északra a 11-es főút mentén meglátogattunk egy vadrezervátumot, majd továbbmentünk Gravenhurstbe a Muskoka-tó kikötőjébe, ahol azonban Észak-Amerika legrégebbi ma is működő gőzhajójából csupán ennyit láthattunk – épp kifutott a tóra és még a part mentén üldözve sem jutottam ennél közelebb…

Egy hosszú szeptemberi hétvégét Sárika néni Penetanguishine melletti Georgian Bay-közeli nyaralójában (cottage) töltöttünk, amit a gyerekek és mi is nagyon élveztünk. Kirándulásokat tettünk a környékbeli érdekesebb helyekre, és lementünk strandolni a Huron-tó közeli partjára is.

We spent a long weekend in September 2004 at the cottage of Aunt Shirley near Georgian Bay in Ontario. We made daily trips from there to nearby places, and also went down to the beach just hundred meters from the cottage.

On our way home we visited a Wildlife Center and then drove further north to Gravenhurst. The most famous sights of this Northern town is their steamship: RMS Segwun is the oldest vessel powered by a working steam engine in North America. Unfortunately we could only see this much from the steamer – it was just leaving port and even by driving along the coastline, I could not get any closer to her than this…
